The Forum Romanum — for centuries the center of Roman public life: elections, trials, triumphs, and the Senate.

Visit notes (June 30 — guided tour)

• Same combo ticket as the Colosseum + Palatine Hill (€18, 24 hours)
• Enter via Via dei Fori Imperiali or Via Sacra near the Colosseum
• This is a ruin field, not a building — a guide or audio tour transforms the experience from "interesting rocks" to "the place Caesar was assassinated"
• Things to look for: Arch of Titus, Temple of Saturn (8 columns), House of the Vestal Virgins, the Curia Julia (Senate house), Arch of Septimius Severus
• Allow 1.5–2 hours
